The BF Series of cryogenic storages is designed for the long-term storage of various types of biomaterials and different storage format (cryostraws, cryovials and blood bags) at a temperature range from -150 to -196оС.

The BF Series is represented by three types of cryostorages (BF-2110, BF-2350 and BF-2600) and three variants of the biomaterial storage system (M, Gas and MDS) :

- M - storage in liquid nitrogen (- 196oC);

- Gas - in liquid nitrogen vapors (below-150oC);

- MDS - in the" dry " phase of liquid nitrogen (below-180°C).

The new "dry" liquid nitrogen (MDS - dry storage) storage system virtually eliminates the vertical temperature gradient inside the storage facility and ensures complete safety of the stored samples when the lid is open during loading or unloading the samples.

MDS storage system in the" dry " phase of liquid nitrogen meets the most stringent modern requirements of biomaterial safety and has a number of significant advantages:

1. Probability of cross contamination is minimized as there is no contact of biomaterial with liquid nitrogen.

2. Temperature in the upper part of the cryogenic storage is maintained below -180°C, even after 10 minutes after opening the lid.

3. Risk of cold burns due to splashing of liquid nitrogen during handling with samples is excluded.

Safety of biomaterial is ensured by a convenient lid with a gaslift system and a lock that allows to control access to the cryogenic storage.

All the cryo storages have a wide neck, and models BF-2350 and BF-2600 can be equipped with a rotary mechanism for circular movement of racks inside the cryo storehouse, which simplifies access to the stored biological material and greatly facilitates the work.

The cryostorages BF are equipped with a wide range of shelving systems, plastic, aluminium or stainless steel.

Highly efficient multi-layer vacuum insulation ensures low evaporation of liquid nitrogen.

Of cryostorages of the BF series is equipped with an electronic controller S170 that monitors, displays and transmits for further processing data on the storage temperature of biological material and the level of liquid nitrogen in a cryostorage, and automatically refuel it with liquid nitrogen.
